The Sports and Society Initiative is joining with Ohio State Athletics and Anomaly Sports Group to present "The Offense and Defense of NIL: Exploring the evolution of name, image and likeness and its impact on collegiate sports," with the goal of understanding where student-athletes have gone in the first year of NIL and where they might go in the future.
The 90-minute forum will feature some of the foremost experts in name, image and likeness, including:
Luke Fedlam, founder of Anomaly Sports Group and the head of Porter Wright’s sports law division;
Paia LaPalombara, assistant athletic director of compliance at Ohio State University;
Logan Hittle, associate director of student-athlete development and director of Name, Image and Likeness.
In addition, we will be joined by three members of the Ohio State women's volleyball team--Sarah Sue Morbitzer, Sydney Taylor and Emily Londot--who have started their own business of volleyball camps and will share their NIL experiences.
Please join us for this extraordinary holistic conversation to learn about the opportunities and challenges that come with name, image and likeness, and what business and student-athletes alike must consider in this new financial world.
Refreshments will be served.
This is an in-person event.
