The Abernathy Hotel Partners with 13 Female Clemson Athletes to Celebrate Women's History Month and 50 Years of Women's Sports

CLEMSON, SC, February 15, 2025 The Abernathy, a premier hotel in Clemson, is proud to announce its partnership with 13 female student-athletes from Clemson University, spanning every women’s sport on campus. This collaboration is part of a larger celebration recognizing Women's History Month and the 50th anniversary of women's athletics at Clemson.

The partnership underscores The Abernathy’s commitment to supporting female athletes while fostering community engagement with women’s sports. As part of the celebration, The Abernathy will host an NIL Tailgate Event on Thursday, February 27th from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM, honoring the athletes and kicking off an exciting weekend of women’s sporting events. The event will provide fans and supporters the opportunity to meet these standout athletes, engage with the Clemson women’s sports community, and take part in an afternoon of festivities leading into a packed weekend of competition.

The 13 student-athletes participating in the partnership represent all female sports at Clemson:

  • Alex Brown (Softball)

  • Bianca Martinez (Volleyball)

  • Mia Moore (Women’s Basketball)

  • Dara Grinberg (Rowing)

  • Melena Barrientos (Women’s Golf)

  • Makenzie Steele (Women’s Track & Field)

  • Regan Byrne (Lacrosse)

  • Blair Byrne (Lacrosse)

  • Reese Klein (Women’s Soccer)

  • Jamison Brockenbrough (Softball)

  • Kinsey Crawford (Women’s Tennis)

  • Madison Roush (Women’s Cross Country) 

The weekend of February 27th through March 2nd will feature 10 women’s athletics games, both home and away, making this the perfect occasion to celebrate the history and future of female sports at Clemson.
