CSMG Brokers NIL Deal Between Villanova Football Players and Reveal Suits
Reveal Suits enters NIL sponsorship agreement with Villanova Wildcats Football athletes and will also supply them with customized suits
STAMFORD, CT (May 24, 2022) - Collegiate Sports Management Group (“CSMG”), an integrated sports and entertainment media company focused on esports and traditional sports in the new creator economy, has brokered a Name, Image, and Likeness (“NIL”) partnership between the Villanova University Football team and high-end custom suits and blazers provider Reveal Suits. The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The deal enables Reveal Suits to partner with five collegiate student-athletes on the Villanova Wildcats men’s football team: TD Ayo-Durojaiye, Dez Boykin, Ricky Ortega, Jaaron Hayek, and Josh Slay. As a part of the deal, Reveal Suits will also be providing the student-athletes with customized suits to feature on their social media platforms throughout the 2022 football season. CSMG will manage all scheduling and NIL activities with the student-athletes, co-creation of NIL social media assets, and run other promotions as a part of the deal.
Reveal Suits, a minority and veteran-owned business, provides upscale, signature branded merchandise to business professionals, fraternities, sororities, and sports organizations. The brand’s owner and CEO Carlton Dixon is a former athlete, coach, and athletic director who has made it his life's work to inspire young men and women to achieve their goals.
“At Reveal, we are about passion meeting fashion, and with our customization options, we’re able to give players, alumni and fans the style in whatever colors they bleed. We want our suits and blazers to mean something a little different for men and women in the Wildcats family,” said Dixon at Reveal Suits. “I am confident in the CSMG team to optimize this opportunity with the Villanova football players and ensure they all have a positive experience with Reveal Suits.”
“We’ve been working with Carlton since 2019 building trust and understanding his business. This is another example of how CSMG brings managed solutions to the table for our partners,” said Jim Connelly, Chief Revenue Officer for CSMG. “We are focused on expanding our NIL expertise to deliver measurable, multi-faceted value that is driving revenue and maximizing exposure for student-athletes.”
CSMG represents more than 1000+ conferences, universities, and colleges and has been heavily focused on NIL deals over the course of the last year. Most recently, CSMG and The BrandR Group - a brand management agency specializing in group licensing and sponsorship rights in the collegiate marketplace - announced a landmark strategic partnership focused on combining personnel resources and university network connections for mutual benefit, as well as the development of seamless turnkey solutions that work at a conference level. LSU kicker Cade York signed a NIL deal with Velveeta brokered by CSMG.
