Friends of the Heights Launches Exclusive Holiday Bourbon to Support Boston College Student-Athletes
All proceeds made from Bourbon purchases will go towards the Heights of Giving campaign to raise $1M
BOSTON (THUR, DEC 5, 2024) – Friends of the Height is proud to announce the release of an exclusive Double Oaked Straight Bourbon Whiskey, a limited-edition offering created in collaboration with Swilled Dog Spirits. With only 480 bottles available, this holiday release is a rare opportunity for bourbon enthusiasts and Eagles fans alike to support Boston College student-athletes.
The bourbon is crafted from two hand-selected barrels of Swilled Dog’s Double Gold Winning Barrel Strength Bourbon, re-casked with American white oak staves, and aged for 5.5 years to develop its rich, nuanced profile. Bottled in 750ml bottles at 117-proof, it boasts a mashbill of 75% corn, 21% rye, and 4% malted barley.
Tasting Notes:
Appearance: Deep amber with rich mahogany undertones.
Nose: Toasted oak, caramelized sugar, vanilla, and baking spices, with notes of dark chocolate and roasted coffee.
Palate: Creamy and lush, featuring butterscotch, brown sugar, toasted pecans, and charred oak.
Finish: Smooth and lingering, with caramelized oak, dark chocolate, and soft spices.
Proceeds from the sale of this exclusive bourbon directly support Boston College student-athletes through the Heights of Giving campaign, an end-of-year campaign aiming to raise $1 million by December 15th, thanks to the generosity of board members willing to match up to $500,000 in donations.
