Friends of UNILV and Palms Casino Resort Launch $150K Half-Court Madness

Fans can enter for a chance to win a drawing entry for a $100K half-court shot at Thomas and Mack, in addition to over $50,000 in weekly and monthly prizes.

(LAS VEGAS) January 4, 2023 – Friends of UNILV, the official Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) collective for UNLV’s student-athletes, is proud to partner with Palms Casino Resort to release a new and exciting donation drive sweepstakes that will support the student-athletes of the UNLV men's and women’s basketball teams.

Starting today, Rebel fans and supporters can enter to win a chance to shoot a $100,000 half-court shot and over $50,000 in other guaranteed weekly, monthly, and grand prizes by registering at www.unilvrunninrebels.com. Then, the fun begins with entertaining and challenging online games with a support pledge. Participants will receive a drawing entry for every dollar pledged and games played, plus up to $100 in Free Play or Dining Credits from Palms Casino Resort for their donation, essentially paying them back for contributing.

“This promotional event is groundbreaking with a new and thrilling way for UNLV fans to support Rebel basketball student-athletes at a time when it is most needed, have some fun and win huge prizes while they’re at it!” said Friends of UNILV General Manager, Shayne Odum. “$150,000 Half-Court Madness gives fans the opportunity to have a once-in-a-lifetime Las Vegas experience at Palms Casino Resort, have a shot at winning prizes every week, and even pay them back for their donation.  Everybody wins!”

Fans will be able to donate and qualify for the prizes starting at only $25. For every dollar donated, supporters will receive an equal number of drawing entries into the $100,000 half-court shot when the UNLV Runnin' Rebels take on San Diego State at Thomas & Mack on March 5th. The lucky fan selected to take the half-court shot will also receive a two-night stay in the exclusive Hardwood Suite at Palms Casino Resort (valued at $25,000 per night) that includes a $300 dinner at the famed Scotch 80 restaurant, $300 in spa treatments and $100 in Free play.

Additionally, participants will earn additional entries into the weekly and grand prize drawing for playing fun online games every day. On select men’s and women’s basketball game days, there will also be a Game Day Challenge for additional prizes provided by UNLV Athletics.

The $150K Half-Court Madness begins today and will remain open to participants until March 5th, 2023. Fans are encouraged to register at www.unilvrunninrebels.com to participate and visit the site to learn how to support UNLV student-athletes through NIL.
