Brin Goes Wings Up For His OL

STATESBORO, Georgia, October 3, 2023 – Ranked 5th nationally with 1611 passing yards, Georgia Southern Football’s Davis Brin has gone wild throwing the ball through his first five games as the Eagles’ QB1. After dishing to his receivers on Saturdays; however, you can find Brin tossing platters of wings, chicken fingers, tater tots and whatever else his offensive line wants to eat at Wing Wing Café. Thanks to a Name, Image & Likeness (NIL) deal through Eagle Nation Collective (ENC), the quarterback is able to treat his fellow teammates every Monday following a victory at the local Statesboro restaurant.

“We love having Davis Brin and the offensive line on Mondays for dinner,” said Wild Wing Café Statesboro owner Rick Howard. “Those big guys eat a lot of food, so we make sure to order extra wings after an Eagle win. Davis is a great student-athlete to do NIL with too. They hang out in our upstairs area we call the True-Blue Room. It’s perfect for them. Really appreciate the Eagle Nation Collective for putting this together.”

Howard, a Georgia Southern alumni and season ticketholder, is an owner/partner in three other Wild Wing Café restaurants in the state of Georgia. Wild Wing Café is the official host location for Georgia Southern’s “Hail Southern Live” weekly radio show.

“Thanks to my NIL with Wild Wing, I can take my guys out to eat like this,” remarked Brin. “They love the food and fellowship. It has strengthened our relationships even more. We have each other’s back on and off the field. That’s what being a teammate is all about.”

Established in January 2023 and launched in July, ENC is the Official NIL Collective of Georgia Southern Athletics. Started with a group of twenty investors, the collective currently represents a student-athlete from every athletic program at Georgia Southern.
