Addition of University of Miami commit continues momentum of emerging sportswear brand

Los Angeles, CA and Boston, MA – July 30, 2024 – Klutch Athletics, the sportswear brand founded by Rich Paul and co-authored with New Balance, continues to add fuel to its growing basketball roster with the addition of Philadelphia native Jalil Bethea.

“Jalil is another great fit for our basketball roster which continues to grow quickly with standout student-athletes from across the country who all represent the idea of being Klutch,” Rich said. “He’s a major contributor on the court but also cares about his community, which is a pillar of our brand.”

Jalil is a 6-4 guard from Philadelphia, Penn., who committed to play next season at the University of Miami. In his senior season at Archbishop Wood High School, he averaged 23.2 points and 7.0 rebounds per game en route to being named the Gatorade Boys Basketball Player of the Year in Pennsylvania and a McDonald’s All-American.

“I’m incredibly honored and humbled to be joining the Klutch Athletics roster,” Jalil said. “I share the brand’s passion for performance and style, and I truly believe we are a perfect fit to work together on and off the court.”

Jalil joins a Klutch Athletics roster that includes NFL standouts Will Anderson Jr. (Houston Texans) and Chase Young (New Orleans Saints), women’s high school basketball star Aaliyah Crump (Minnetonka High School), and men’s high school basketball players Caleb Wilson (Atlanta) and Isiah Harwell (Wasatch Academy).

The second season of Klutch Athletics apparel is available now for purchase at newbalance.com and at select retail locations with flow product and energy drops throughout the year. Suggested retail prices range from $40 for t-shirts to $75 for hoodies to $130 for knit track jackets and pants.
