Exclusively Texan LONE STAR NIL Selects Basepath as Primary Operations Software Provider

LONE STAR NIL Basepath

LONE STAR NIL supports Texas-based collegiate athletes enrolled at in-state universities

Frisco, Texas (November, 2023) - Basepath, the leading NIL operations software provider for collectives, universities, and student-athletes, has announced a partnership with LONE STAR NIL, recently established for the exclusive benefit of Texas-based collegiate student-athletes enrolled at in-state universities and colleges.

As the nation’s first NIL program with a select statewide focus, LONE STAR NIL promotes enrollment, retention and graduation at in-state schools, and directly connects Texan student-athletes with state businesses, charities and communities. In addition to assisting student-athletes develop beneficial NIL activity, LONE STAR NIL also works to facilitate opportunities in professional development, community service and charitable activity between these high-achieving individuals and the robust Texas business community.

Additionally, instead of focusing on institutional boosters and supporters for NIL support, LONE STAR NIL primarily targets Texas-based companies, large and small, to associate their brands with successful college student-athletes. LONE STAR NIL agreements may serve as a supplement to a student-athlete’s other name, image and likeness opportunities and can provide NIL engagement for those that may have limited or non-existent options.

“We are very excited to announce this partnership, as Basepath is the leading NIL operations software provider,” said LONE STAR NIL Founder and CEO Tom Burnett. “Basepath allows for a forward-thinking approach when connecting student-athletes with NIL deals, along with a user-friendly platform for both LONE STAR NIL and our partner student-athletes.”

In this new partnership with Basepath, LONE STAR NIL will harness Basepath's athlete operations software for assigning tasks to athletes, analyzing all of their activity on a dashboard, and automating contracts through a DocuSign integration.  Further, Basepath’s wallet app is ideal for student-athletes to consolidate their NIL deals, income, tax estimations and financial support. The software also ensures compliance with state and NCAA regulations.

“We are incredibly excited to announce this partnership with LONE STAR NIL,” said Basepath CEO and Co-Founder Thomas Thomas Jr. “Their innovative model, focused on Texas student-athletes and businesses is one that will drive tremendous value to the entire Texas athletics community.”

LONE STAR NIL is open to eligible Texan student-athletes across 116 in-state public and private universities and colleges, ranging from NCAA Division I to the state’s extensive network of community and junior colleges.
