Mizzou’s New Basketball Star Featured on Latest Snack for Tiger Fans

Mark Mitchell’s Spicy Queso “HOOPS” are latest Mizzou-themed Snack...Hitting stores next week

ST. LOUIS, January 12, 2025 – Haystack Sourcing Solutions today announced its latest partnership with a top college athlete, introducing Mark Mitchell’s Spicy Queso “Hoops”. A McDonald’s High School All-American from Kansas City, and 2-year starter at Duke, Mitchell came “home” this year, transferring to Mizzou. He has quickly shown there’s no place like home...leading the Tigers in Points, Rebounds and Blocks. He is the first college athlete in the country to have his own item in the chip aisle that’s not a potato chip. Mitchell’s “Hoops” will be available in all Missouri Schnucks stores, as well as top Convenience Stores.

Under the Snack Fanatics brand, his crunchy “Hoops” are the shape of a fried onion ring, but with a unique Spicy Queso flavor. “I’m so excited for our fans to try my great-tasting Spicy Queso “Hoops”!” Mitchell said. “Being able to walk into a store and find myself on a snack is something I never dreamed of! Once Tiger fans try the unique spicy & tangy flavor, they’ll think it’s a Slam Dunk!”

Haystack Sourcing Solutions President, Ken Dubinsky said, “We knew we wanted to do something with Mizzou’s basketball program. With Mark coming in so highly touted, he was a great choice to be the next Tiger to have his own snack. We appreciate Schnucks being a great partner, as they have been on all the Mizzou products.” Mark is the 36th Mizzou student athlete to appear on a product at Schnucks since the Luther Burden Potato chips were introduced for the 2022 season.

Mitchell’s “Hoops” join a number of other Mizzou products currently offered at Schnucks, including Luther Burden’s Old Vienna Honey BBQ Red Hot Riplets , “Pizza with the Crew” Frozen Pizza, “Brew with the Crew” Coffees, “Snackin’ with the Crew” Cookies and Snack Mix, and “Tiger Tracks” Ice Cream.
