Storm Marketing Hosts Student Athlete Meet & Greet

Storm Marketing St. John's

Queens, N.Y. - Storm Marketing, a St. John's Red Storm Collective and administrative marketing group, hosted a Meet & Greet on Sunday, October 15, generating N.I.L. (name, image, and likeness) opportunities for student athletes at St. John’s University.

Members from the St. John’s University Men’s & Women’s Basketball Teams were in attendance, signing autographs for the passionate Johnnie fans in attendance. The players in attendance consisted of: Jordan Dingle (college basketball’s top returning scorer), Joel Soriano, Simeon Wilcher, Chris Ledlum, Sean Conway, Amber Brown, and Ber’Nyah Mayo.

The event took place at Acquista Trattoria, located at 178-01 Union Tpke, two blocks from the St. John’s campus. Storm Marketing aimed to raise awareness and educate fans on the ever- changing landscape of N.I.L. Their way of doing this was by allowing fans, alumni, and supporters to get up close and personal with their favorite players. Additionally, Storm Marketing hosted a raffle contest at the event to give attendants the opportunity to win big, while providing a unique way to support St. John’s University Student Athlete N.I.L. activities.

Furthermore, Storm Marketing values the art of networking, specifically connecting St. John’s student athletes to local businesses. Businesses across many industries showed their support for N.I.L. activities by sponsoring the October 15th event, including Jackson Lewis, Verizon Wireless/Cannella Effect, NY Boulders, Seelig Dressler Ochani PLLC., Prestige Research, Digitech Printers, Spiceful, Labor Controls, Pargroup, Eye on The Storm, JLR PR, RSG LLC., Aaron Torres Media, iSolvRisk, Imperial Cuts, Finish First Photos, Hanover Capital, and Milton’s Auto Body Shop.

Storm Marketing had a blast creating memories, discussing St. John’s Athletics, and helping facilitate N.I.L. opportunities for student athletes. Storm Marketing looks to continue this momentum going into the upcoming 2023-2024 St. John's Men's & Women's Basketball Season, by organizing various events to create opportunities for students, namely with one of their next events, Storm Marketing Members Only Night on January 3, 2024.
