In Honor of National Girls & Women in Sports Day®, NCAA Division III Student-Athlete and NIL.Store/Campus Ink Team Up for First of Its Kind Female Empowerment NIL Partnership

Laney Higgins

Atlanta, GA - Laney Higgins, a NCAA Division III student-athlete, has signed a NIL (Name, Image and Likeness) partnership with NIL.Store to launch an exclusive merchandise line. NIL.Store is a Mark Cuban backed company and is powered by long-time merchandiser Campus Ink.

Higgins, a freshman volleyball player at Oglethorpe University in Atlanta is the first non-Division I student-athlete in the country to forge a NIL partnership with NIL.Store to develop, market and sell their own merchandise line. Student-Athletes from prominent Division I schools such as Duke, Florida State, Virginia Tech, Illinois and others have launched similar NIL merchandise programs through NIL.Store.

“I’m excited to debut this merchandise line, which will focus on female student-athlete empowerment,” said Higgins. “I want to thank Meta for introducing me to Campus Ink as well as the Women's Sports Foundation® through their NIL Empower 2.0 program. I'm grateful to Campus Ink for treating me with the same first-class experience that they offer all of their Division I student-athletes. I’m hopeful that this can inspire other female college student-athletes to get started on pursuing their dreams through leveraging their NIL, while also showcasing the importance of girls and women in sports.”

“Campus Ink and the NIL Store prides itself on being a holistic opportunity to all student-athletes. We are rooted in education and are our athletes biggest fans. When Laney came to us with her idea, we could not be more excited to help bring her dreams to life,” said Molly Pfeiffer, Creative Account Manager for NIL.Store. “As a former soccer player at Marquette, I was especially drawn to Laney’s initiative and love nothing more than seeing women support women.”

Higgins’ merchandise line began accepting pre-orders at the NIL.Store website on Monday, January 30th, two days prior to National Girls &Women in Sports Day on February 1st, which is powered each year by the Women’s Sports Foundation®.

Higgins is also committed to making further donations from her NIL proceeds to the Women’s Sports Foundation to support girls and women in sports programming. Higgins' other recent NIL partnerships include Q-Collar, Outback Steakhouse, Champs and INNBeauty.
