The Swarm Collective Celebrates One Year of Support for Athletes and the Community

Iowa City, IA – Today, July 19th, 2023, marks the first anniversary for the Swarm Collective. The Swarm Collective, Inc. founded in 2022, is a 501c3 non-profit corporation that supports University of Iowa athletes by creating opportunities to build and enhance their personal brand while also serving charities and nonprofits in Iowa communities. Supporting Swarm helps Iowa’s football and basketball athletes excel in collegiate athletics.

The Swarm Collective was founded by CEO Brad Heinrichs. Heinrichs and his full time staff of two, Executive Vice President/COO Scott Brickman and Vice President of Events and Engagement Jayne Oswald, have worked diligently to create a successful collective that benefits the Iowa football and basketball athletes, loyal members, and surrounding community.

In the first year of inception, the non-profit collective has partnered with 41 non-profit organizations around the community. The football and basketball student athletes have combined for 1,156 hours of service in local communities. A few of the group that Swarm has partnered with include: Big Brothers Big Sisters, Horizons, United Way of Johnson and Washington Counties, Make A Wish Foundation of Iowa, Iowa City Community School District, Clear Creek Amana School District, Iowa Games, Adaptive Sports Iowa, and Iowa Giving Crew.

Additionally, Swarm, Inc. has partnered with Iowa businesses, such as Elite Casino Resorts, Iowa 80 Group, Exile Brewing Company, Papa Johns of Iowa, Summit Agricultural Group, and Dale Howard Auto Center, to help provide opportunities for the football and basketball athletes to succeed.

Since the Swarm’s launch, the collective has gained over 2,000 members. To remain successful, the collective strives to have 10,000 members and raise over $5 million annually. Swarm encourages members to refer new members through the ambassador’s program. This program provides rewards for members who recruit their friends and family to be a part of the Swarm.
