Gainesville, Florida (February 25, 2025) – University of Florida starting quarterback DJ Lagway has announced the launch of the DJ Lagway Foundation. In partnership with University of Florida Health (UF Health), the new foundation aims to aid local youth through UF Health community initiatives.

Organized by talent management and representation agency NETWORK, the DJ Lagway Foundation reflects Lagway’s dedication to his community, and his desire to use Name, Image, Likeness (NIL) for good.

“Football has given me so much, and NIL has opened doors I could never have imagined. Now, I want to use those opportunities to pay it forward,” said Lagway. “Partnering with UF Health allows me to give back in a way that directly makes a positive impact on the community.”

“Our family values helping those in need,” added Niki Lagway, mother of DJ. “Launching this foundation and being able to help so many people is a dream come true. I’m so proud of my son.”

The foundation’s Kickoff Dinner – presented by Morgan & Morgan, America’s largest injury law firm – will take place on March 10, 2025, from 6-9 pm at Spurrier’s Gridiron Grille. Funds raised from the event will support UF Health initiatives aimed at assisting underserved youth through community programs such as food drives, youth football camps, mentorships, and more.

“I’m excited to support the DJ Lagway Foundation and the incredible work they're doing for the community,” said Dan Morgan, managing partner at Morgan & Morgan. “As a former Gator, I’m deeply inspired by DJ’s commitment to giving back to his community and Gator Nation. It’s an honor to be part of this initiative, and I look forward to seeing all that the Foundation will accomplish.”

The evening will feature dinner, a silent auction, and a live recording of DJ Lagway on the Stadium & Gale podcast. Guests will have the opportunity to purchase DJ Lagway merchandise and engage in a meet and greet with former and current Gator greats. Notable attendees also include the Lagway family and the President and CEO of UF Health Clinical Enterprise, alongside UF Health leadership and NETWORK representatives.

“It’s an honor to have worked with DJ for as many years as we have,” said Justin J. Giangrande, CEO of NETWORK. “We’ve witnessed not only his growth as a quarterback on the field but also as an inspiring young leader off the field. We’re energized by his commitment to use NIL opportunities for positive change.”
