House of Victory Hires Additional Staff to Increase Infrastructure and Support
The expanded team will continue to grow and develop NIL opportunities.
Los Angeles (April 11, 2024) - House of Victory, the Official NIL Sponsor of USC Athletics is thrilled to announce the hiring of multiple staff members who bring a wealth of college athletics and NIL experience to the collective. Nearing its first anniversary, House of Victory is continuing its growth trajectory and providing additional NIL opportunities and support to USC student-athletes through these hires. Joining the team are Trojan alumni Matt Lopes, VP of Operations; Hailey Tucker, Director, Communications and Marketing and USC Athletics veteran Magdi El Shahawy, Development Associate.
“As House of Victory continues to expand its offerings, it was necessary for us to expand our resources as well,” said House of Victory Executive Director, Spencer Harris. “The team that we have put in place combines USC alumni, in-house experience and NIL industry expertise to bring a wealth of knowledge that will allow us to take House of Victory to the next level as a leader within the collective space.”
Lopes joins House of Victory as the VP of Operations, and will oversee all student-athlete relationships and engagements, charitable partnerships, business operations and more. Lopes has more than two years of industry experience, having previously worked at Blueprint Sports, where he helped manage more than 20 NIL collectives across the country. As a football letterman, Lopes is uniquely qualified for this role given his understanding of the commitments of the athletes he works with.
“Given my football background and education here, I understand USC and the needs of our student-athletes,” Lopes said. “Supporting our student-athletes through NIL opportunities is a critical component of success, and I’m excited to bring my experience and knowledge back home. The goal is to create the best NIL experience in the country for our student-athletes, donors, brands and our community.”
Also joining House of Victory as an alum is Hailey Tucker. As the Director, Communications and Marketing, Tucker oversees all communications and marketing campaigns, media relations, social media, content creation and more. Beyond her USC roots, Tucker also brings a wealth of industry knowledge, having worked with more than 20 NIL collectives at Blueprint Sports before joining House of Victory.
“I’m truly thrilled to be able to bring my experience and professional expertise to the university that I love so much,” Tucker said. “The team that we’re developing here is one with a unique combination of experience, connections and ties to the Trojan Family, and we’re ready to connect with our fans, alumni and student-athletes in new and exciting ways to make the biggest impact that we can.”
El Shahawy joins House of Victory after an extensive career with USC Athletics. El Shahawy served as the Senior Associate Athletic Director for USC for nearly two decades, overseeing a variety of programs within student-athlete academic success, career development and other teams. Following his time at USC, El Shahawy was the Deputy Athletic Director at the University of Georgia for five years. With House of Victory, El Shahawy will support fundraising efforts, identify new partners and facilitate cross-department collaboration on NIL strategy and execution.
“I spent the best 18 years of my career supporting Trojan student-athletes in their academic, professional and personal development during my time at USC,” El Shahawy said. “After being away for the past few years, I’m excited to be back in Southern California helping House of Victory maximize NIL opportunities for the amazing young men and women who represent the Trojan family.”
Additionally, Megan Mueller, who had been with the collective for over a year, is pursuing new opportunities and will no longer be with House of Victory. The collective is grateful for her time of service and the work that she did to build House of Victory into what it is today.
With its expanded staff, House of Victory will continue to grow and increase its NIL programs and offerings. Learn more about House of Victory and get involved today by visiting their website or following them on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and X.
