The Massachusetts Collective Signs UMass Point Guard Noah “Mr. Massachusetts” Fernandes and Forward Dyondre Dominguez to NIL (Name, Image, Likeness) Agreements

Fernandes and Dominguez become the 2nd and 3rd Athletes to join the newly formed Massachusetts Collective

AMHERST, MA: The Massachusetts Collective is excited to announce the addition of Noah Fernandes and Dyondre Dominguez to its roster of Massachusetts Basketball Athletes.

“When you think of Massachusetts Basketball the last couple years, you think of Noah Fernandes aka Mr. Massachusetts,” said Patrick MacWilliams, Director of the Massachusetts Collective. “And now, it's impossible to think about Massachusetts Basketball without also thinking of high energy player Dyondre Dominguez. No brainer to bring them both on board.”

Fernandes and Dominguez joined yesterday's signing of Tafara Gapare, who became the first New Zealander to sign an NCAA NIL Deal. “All three players are high character guys and we are thrilled to have them represent The Massachusetts Collective,” MacWilliams said.

NIL Collectives support and create NIL opportunities for athletes-such as sponsorship deals with businesses, public appearances, and other promotional activities-through fan-supported crowdfunding and donations.

“I am super excited to have this partnership with the collective,” Fernandes said. “As far as the team, I can say that we are all grateful for the work that the collective is putting in to provide us with these opportunities. Go, Minutemen!”

“I am so appreciative of the opportunity to work with the Collective,” Dominguez said. “ This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for me. We are excited to show fans and the world that ‘UMass is back’ and we are going to continue to fulfill our dreams on and off the court.”

MacWilliams is concentrating on growing the Collective’s member base to 400 dues-paying members by the Atlantic 10 Tournament in March, while remaining aggressive in signing additional players to NIL agreements. Current membership is 196 members.

“If you're a UMass fan, you'll hear from me,” said MacWilliams. “Too many folks are standing on the sideline, waiting for something big to happen or reminiscing about the good old days. Everyone now has an opportunity to make an impact through NIL and the Massachusetts Collective, which we need to be the strongest in the Atlantic 10.”

A series of press conferences, virtual meet and greets, events and other content will follow. Please visit TheMassCollective.com for more information.
