Shinola Enters NIL Deals with Michigan State and Michigan Athletes for Graduation Season

Some of the top college athletes in the state partnered with Shinola to promote their campaign for graduation at Michigan and Michigan State

Detroit, MI - (April 27th, 2023) - As graduation season approaches, Detroit-based luxury brand Shinola is excited to announce its exclusive graduation campaign for the Class of 2023. From April 28th to May 5th, Shinola is offering complimentary in-store personalization to celebrate graduates and their accomplishments. 

Shinola's wide selection of watches, jewelry, leather goods, and journals make for perfect gifts to commemorate graduates' achievements. This year, Shinola is taking personalization to the next level by offering complimentary engraving on the Runwell case-backs for the first time ever. Graduates can personalize their case-backs with quotes or messages, like "Spartan for Life," to make their Shinola item even more special and memorable.

To celebrate the campaign, Shinola worked with the NIL platform Athlytic to connect with local student athletes from Michigan State University and the University of Michigan for NIL deals. The campaign allowed select athletes to give a graduating senior on their team a watch as a reward for their accomplishments. The campaign featured Michigan State athletes Malik Hall (MSU Basketball), Dillon Tatum (MSU Football), Skyla Shulte (MSU Gymnastics), Luke Baylis (MSU Tennis), and Zivana Labovic(MSU Soccer), as well as Michigan athletes Lexie Blair (UofM Softball), Riley Ammenhauser (UofM Track), Mia Mason (UofM Track), and Jason Bucknor (UofM Soccer). The campaign is expected to drive traffic to Shinola's Detroit location, the Shinola Hotel, and Ann Arbor where graduates and their families can take advantage of complimentary personalization during graduation weekends.
