The Bird Club and Brickway Brewery & Distillery Announce Partnership
OMAHA, Neb. – The Bird Club, LLC and Brickway Brewery & Distillery are teaming up in an exciting partnership as Brickway has been named the official beer, spirit, and seltzer partner of The Bird Club; an NIL collective supporting men’s basketball student-athletes at Creighton University.
“The work that The Bird Club is doing for our program is critical to help us recruit, retain and develop outstanding student-athletes and young men,” said Greg McDermott, head coach of Creighton Men’s Basketball. “To see a local company, like Brickway, partner with The Bird Club shows that our community is behind what we are building here at Creighton. I hope our fans will get behind this and give their support to a local business which will help support The Bird Club.”
To kick off the partnership, Brickway has created a new flavor of its vodka-based hard seltzers inspired by The Bird Club – Bluejay Berry Blast. Along with existing flavors, Cherry Limeade and Pineapple Mango, all of Brickway’s Aleius Vodka Hard Seltzers are made with natural flavors and are only 98 calories and 4.5% ABV per can. The seltzers are also low carb and gluten free.
“This partnership was a no-brainer for us,” said Zac Triemert, President and Master Distiller at Brickway Brewery & Distillery. “My wife works at Creighton, I have kids who go to Creighton Prep that I would love to see eventually at Creighton, we’re located blocks away from the CHI Health Center Omaha. We love Creighton. We’re honored to help support the Creighton’s men’s basketball collective and excited to see how this partnership can grow.”
A percentage of all Aleius Vodka Hard Seltzer sales as well as a percentage from sales of Brickway’s Premium Midwestern Vodka – the spirit base used for the seltzers – will be donated to The Bird Club.
Plans are also in the works for a custom-brewed beer for The Bird Club in the future with other possibilities offered by the brewery and distillery under consideration.
The new Bluejay Berry Blast flavor and all Aleius products are now available for purchase at the Brickway Brewery & Distillery taproom located in Omaha’s historic Old Market and will be rolling out on store shelves throughout the year. An exclusive VIP launch party to celebrate the official release of the new flavor is currently being planned.
Bird Club, LLC was built to directly support Men’s Basketball student-athletes from Creighton University and help them navigate the world of Name, Image, and Likeness. The Bird Club also serves as a resource for financial and legal advising, education, tax assistance, networking, and much more. Brickway Brewery & Distillery opened in Omaha's historic Old Market District on December 13, 2013 and since then has produced several dozens of beers, 13 different spirits, hard seltzers, canned cocktails, and non-alcoholic ginger beer. The brewery side of the business has seen modest year-over-year growth getting into the top 10-percent of Nebraska breweries by volume. The distillery on the other hand has seen significant growth and Brickway is now the largest distillery in the state. Since 2018, Brickway has won close to 30 medals for its beers and spirits and is the most decorated distillery in the state.
